The Foundation’s history

The Memphremagog Hospital Foundation is a philanthropic, non-profit, and autonomous organization that acts as a privileged partner in the advancement and development of the Health and Social Services Center for the entire Memphremagog MRC, which includes 17 municipalities and a population of over 53,000 inhabitants.

Its role is to solicit, through various ways, individuals, corporations, and industries that believe in the vocation of maintaining and developing health and social services in our region’s MRC.

Since its creation in 1984, the Foundation has participated in the purchase of medical equipment by contributing a total of $11,000,000. Annual amounts of $500,000 (on average) have been invested by the Foundation in the purchase of specialized equipment and the development of adapted spaces (hospital component), in the development of care and services for people with loss of autonomy at home or in facilities (CHSLD and SAPA components), as well as in supporting projects at the community service level (CLSC component).

The Hospital Foundation was formerly known as La Providence de Magog.
